’’روزہ اور قرآن کریم دونوں بندہ کے لیے شفاعت کرتے ہیں۔ روزہ عرض کرتا ہے کہ: یااللہ! میں نے اس کو دن میں کھانے پینے سے روکے رکھا، میری شفاعت قبول کرلیجئے، اور قرآن کہتا ہے کہ: یا اللہ! میں نے رات کو اس کو سونے سے روکا ، میری شفاعت قبول کرلیجئے، پس دونوں کی شفاعت قبول کرلی جائے گی۔‘‘ (رواہ احمد والطبرانی فی الکبیر والحاکم وقال صحیح علی شرط مسلم)
